Hey yalls! I’m so sorry for the hiatus. I was busy submitting countless assignments for film school and outside projects and started a new job (YAY!). Since I’ve been away, I had a physical and spiritual cleanse that made me realign my focus on my deeper desires and purposes. I grew even closer to God by staying committed to scriptures, church, and spiritual music. Although I attached myself onto the Lord, I experienced several tests and trials that ultimately made me stronger. I learned greatly from not relying on each day to be perfect. I suffered from this unrealistic notion of wanting everything to go as plan…perfectly. If things didn’t go my way, I defeated and my day would feel off. Seriously! It wasn’t until I listened to this radio station on my way to school and the host said, “Never expect a perfect day…it doesn’t exist!” As simple as it may seem, those words made me feel liberated. How often do we expect every day to go according to our plans? And when things fail, we lose hope and become frustrated. It’s a never ending spiral. At that moment, I knew I wasn’t alone, and I knew thousands of listeners were on the same boat.
Now that I’ve learned to let go of control and let God regain His position in my life, I feel better. I feel like I am bigger and better than ever before! I am learning that although my plans fail, God’s plans always prevail. That’s a FACT! I am back on the blog and I can’t wait to share my newest plans of expanding and incorporating new materials. My plans are to update this blog regularly but as I mentioned above…sometimes my plans won’t work, LOL Therefore, I will TRY my absolute best to pump out as much inspiring posts as I can. I want to continue to share my life, defaults, workout tips, and recipes with you all. I want my posts to be raw, funny, and completely human. I hope I am already inspiring you and I look forward to seeing you on my next post!
